What kind of fuel was used for that dyno run? Any water meth? From the dyno charts i assume Ash tuned the car.. being fully coated with TBC's did you notice that the engine was sensitive to ignition timing? The last fully coated engine i had on the dyno did not like ignition advance, presumably because the coatings keep allot of heat in the chamber making it prone to detonation. On pump gas that is.. I dont normally tune a street car for race fuel but water meth helps. Still makes me wonder if the coatings are worth the effort. Chatting with one of the engine management specialists at Cosworth he tells me they do not use any thermal barrier coatings in their race engines. Hmm
